Public Services and Procurement Canada, on behalf of the Canadian Coast Guard, is conducting a Request for Information regarding Landing Craft Motorized vessels to support two Polar Icebreakers. The agency is seeking information on the availability of existing LCMs; modification or conversion of existing vessels; adaptation of commercial or proven designs; and the design and construction of new vessels. The vessels would be carried aboard and deployed from the Polar Icebreakers to transfer cargo and supplies between the ships and shore, including in Arctic and ice-infested waters. This is an information-gathering opportunity rather than a solicitation for a defined contract award.
