Description
The Bureau of Land Management requires annual fire sprinkler and fire alarm inspection and testing services at the Fairbanks District Office and the Alaska Interagency Visitors Center. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, technician travel, ground transportation, scheduling, and coordination needed to inspect the facilities’ wet- and dry-pipe sprinkler systems, fire pumps, jockey pump, backflow prevention devices, fire alarm devices, and related equipment. The scope also includes an internal pipe inspection every five years and fire damper inspection every four years, in addition to annual requirements. The contractor must prepare facility-specific work schedules, provide qualified personnel, and submit copies of the field supervisor’s current Alaska State Fire Marshal permit, current NICET certification, and a technician’s backflow prevention device tester certificate. A final inspection report covering sprinkler systems, fire alarms, fire pumps, backflow devices, and fire alarm devices is required before payment. The solicitation includes a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, with performance scheduled from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2031 if all options are exercised.
