Description
The Washington State Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for drydocking and repairs to the Issaquah Class ferry M.V. Cathlamet. The scope includes vessel berthing, temporary services, testing and inspections, U.S. Coast Guard underwater hull and internal inspections, steel gauging, hull preparation and coating, potable-water-tank inspection, vehicle-deck steel renewal, firemain and sewage/grey-water/sprinkler-pipe water jetting, walkway preservation, rudder and propeller inspections, inner- and outer-shaft-seal element replacement, oil-distribution-box overhaul, and other maintenance specified in the IFB technical specifications. All work must be performed within Puget Sound, Washington, from January 25, 2027, through March 5, 2027. Bidders must be prequalified by Washington State Ferries in Class 82, Vessel Drydocking & Hull Repairs, before the bid deadline. The state-funded project includes condition-of-award participation goals of 5% Public Works Small Business Enterprise and 2% Veteran-Owned Business. Bids must include the signed electronic bid form, required bid security, and certificates, and must be submitted by email to the project contact with a courtesy copy to WSFcontracts@wsdot.wa.gov.
