Description
The National Park Service is soliciting quotes for two new utility-style 2027 snowmobiles to support winter transportation, logistics, field operations, and movement of personnel and equipment in Arctic conditions. Each snowmobile must meet specified minimum requirements, including a four-stroke engine comparable to a Ski-Doo 900 ACE, approximately 154-inch track, approximately 24-inch wide-track configuration, electric start, adjustable ski stance, high windshield with wind deflectors, utility rear suspension, towing capability, and cold-weather operating capability. The contractor must provide and install required accessories, including rear cargo racks, cargo storage boxes, heavy-duty bumpers, hitch systems, ski protection, GPS mounts or glovebox extensions, auxiliary power outlets, heated visor power kits, front protection plates, tunnel sliders with Vespel inserts, heavy-duty rear suspension coils, and tunnel protectors. The scope includes freight coordination, delivery and offloading, inspection, setup, user manuals, warranty information, and maintenance guidelines. Brand-name-or-equal products are permitted if they meet or exceed the stated specifications. The amendment confirms that delivery to Kotzebue is required, cold-weather testing or certification is not required, and the prior-experience requirement may be satisfied by at least two successful shipments and deliveries of supplies of similar quantity and size or greater within the past five years.
