Description
Taylor Public Schools is requesting bids for the complete removal and replacement of approximately 11,550 square feet of roofing at Wareing Elementary, also identified in the specifications as the K-9 Academy Training Facility. The work includes full roof tear-off, preparation and repair of the existing cementitious wood fiber deck, temporary roofing and drainage, a three-ply cold-applied built-up asphalt roofing system, insulation and cover board, aggregate surfacing, walkways, roof drains, flashings, copings, fascia, and related sheet-metal work. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, disposal, shop drawings, product data, installer qualifications, manufacturer approvals, inspections, warranties, and project closeout documentation. The solicitation requires a mandatory pre-bid walkthrough, sealed paper submissions, a bid bond or certified check for bids exceeding $23,417, specified insurance, and payment and performance bonds for bids exceeding $50,000. The proposal must include the district's required bidder forms and certifications, a signed cover letter agreeing to the draft contract terms, a subcontractor list, and at least one reference letter from a public entity for substantially similar work.
