Description
The City of Detroit, on behalf of the Detroit Fire Department, is soliciting a contractor to provide comprehensive bunker gear services, including advanced and specialty cleaning, sanitization, inspection, decontamination, NFPA-compliant repairs, warranty repairs, loaner gear, and pickup and delivery. The contractor must operate as a verified independent service provider and comply with applicable NFPA standards, manufacturer requirements, and third-party verification requirements. The scope also includes quartermaster support, a 24/7 emergency hotline, backup verified service-facility access, training, and a secure PPE inventory and service-history tracking system. The tracking system must support barcode identification, gear assignments, inspection and cleaning records, repair and retirement histories, reporting, and 24/7 department access. Services must be performed directly by the awarded contractor without third-party service providers. The contract term is three years with two one-year renewal options.
