Description
Detroit Public Schools Community District is seeking a vendor to provide Segment 1 and Segment 2 driver education services for eligible enrolled students during the 2026–2027 school year. The program is expected to serve approximately 300–900 students through multiple sessions at up to 25 high schools or shared host sites. The supplier must provide certified instructors, Michigan Department of State curriculum materials and booklets, vehicles, fuel, equipment, supervision, program administration, enrollment and family communications, student accommodations, and required records and reporting. The required instruction includes 24 hours of classroom instruction, six hours of on-the-road instruction, and four hours of observation. Services must occur outside the regular school day, with the supplier proposing its geographic coverage, staffing, schedule, capacity, start and completion dates, and pricing. The anticipated service start is January 2027, with required service completion by June 2027. Proposals must include a detailed technical response, required representations and certifications, a subcontracting plan, a completed contract package, and a separate Excel price proposal. The proposal is limited to 25 pages excluding resumes, descriptive literature, and required forms.
