Description
The City and County of Denver, through Denver Human Services' Outreach and Engagement Division, is seeking qualified behavioral health organizations, practitioners, group practices, or other eligible entities to provide licensed behavioral health clinician services for the Fatherhood Intervention, Recovery, Support, and Transition (FIRST) Program. The program serves Denver fathers and father figures age 18 and older who are involved in, exiting, or at risk of involvement with the criminal legal system and may have mental health, substance use, trauma-related, recovery, and reentry needs. The contractor will provide behavioral health screening and assessment, brief therapeutic intervention, stabilization and crisis support, individual and group-based services, care coordination, warm handoffs to treatment and recovery resources, and ongoing participant engagement by phone, virtually, or in person. Services must be coordinated with DHS staff, peer navigators, fatherhood programming, justice-system partners, and community providers, and delivered using culturally responsive, trauma-informed, relationship-based, and harm-reduction approaches. The anticipated service volume is approximately 50 participants annually. Total funding is anticipated not to exceed $100,000, with an initial contract term from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2028, subject to grant funding and possible extensions.
