Description
The Bureau of Justice Assistance within the U.S. Department of Justice is soliciting grant applications for comprehensive, site-based programs addressing opioids, stimulants, and other substance use. Eligible state, county, city or township, special district, and federally recognized tribal governments may propose projects involving overdose prevention, naloxone access and training, treatment and recovery support, diversion programs, law-enforcement investigations, prescription drug take-back programs, court-based interventions, and related information collection and analysis. The opportunity anticipates approximately $133,585,276 in total funding and 79 awards across three applicant categories. Maximum awards are up to $1,600,000 for large urban jurisdictions, $1,300,000 for suburban or medium-size jurisdictions, $1,000,000 for rural jurisdictions and tribal governments, and $7,000,000 for state governments. Awards are expected to run for 36 months beginning October 1, 2026. Applications require an SF-424 through Grants.gov followed by a full application in JustGrants, including a proposal narrative, budget, abstract, applicable certifications, timeline, and other conditional forms or attachments.
