Description
The East Bay Regional Park District is soliciting proposals from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife's 2026 Registered Aquaculturalists to provide and stock live Rainbow Trout at designated lakes and reservoirs. Annual quantities are estimated at 80,000 to 120,000 pounds, with deliveries approximately weekly during January 1–May 31 and October 1–December 31. Fish must meet specified size distributions, health and pathogen requirements, mortality limits, and feed standards; the vendor must provide required equipment, transportation permits, delivery documentation, and delivery labor. Proposals must include a Proposal Letter describing qualifications, experience, capacity, schedule compliance, similar contracts, a breeder's license, and two business references, plus the completed Attachment A Cost Proposal. The contract is anticipated to run from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2031, with fixed per-pound pricing for the first two years and potential CPI-based increases for years three through five. Evaluation weights are cost competitiveness 75%, company qualifications 10%, relevant experience 10%, and references 5%.
