Description
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is soliciting bids for the purchase and delivery of 8,800 pure Channel Catfish measuring 14–18 inches, averaging approximately 16 inches and 1.25 pounds, for stocking in 17 Connecticut lakes and ponds. No fish may be smaller than 13 inches; Blue Catfish and hybrids are prohibited, and up to 30% albino Channel Catfish may be included. Fish must be delivered alive and in good health, undergo inspection and disease testing, and be free of specified serious diseases and aquatic invasive species. The vendor must provide appropriate live-fish transportation, including a water pump and hoses for tempering, coordinate manifests and delivery notifications, obtain required transport permits, and manage unloading and acclimation. The solicitation states a preferred delivery date of October 1 or 2, 2026, with delivery to occur on a weekday.
