Description
Fisheries and Oceans Canada is establishing a Supply Arrangement for on-demand salmon monitoring, biological support, fishery monitoring, habitat monitoring, and population, fishery, and habitat analysis services. Work is organized into four categories and three South Coast zones covering Vancouver Island, mainland inlets, and the Sunshine Coast. Activities may include visual and acoustic surveys, mark-recapture and telemetry, fish trapping, biological sampling and laboratory analysis, fishery interviews and effort counts, habitat profiling and mapping, hydrometric station installation and maintenance, data management, statistical analysis, program coordination, and report production. Bidders may qualify for one or more categories, zones, tasks, or activities and must demonstrate at least 24 months of relevant experience for each activity proposed. The Supply Arrangement is a qualification framework rather than a contract guaranteeing work; subsequent requirements will be competed among pre-qualified suppliers. The arrangement runs from issuance through December 31, 2028, with continuing qualification opportunities and semiannual refresh periods. Most field work is performed in the South Coast region, while some analysis and reporting may be completed at the contractor’s facilities.
