Description
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s New York City Transit division is soliciting an A+B construction contract for roof replacement at the Bathgate facility. The work includes removal, salvage, and disposal of the existing roofing assembly, structural members, and structural and metal decks, followed by installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of new roofing and structural systems. The scope also includes replacement of roof-located HVAC, fire systems, heat pumps, piping, vents, and ductwork; replacement of associated electrical systems, lighting, fixtures, conduit, and wiring; architectural and structural improvements such as new railings, an access hatch, and perimeter step flashing; and environmental work including asbestos abatement. The estimated contract value is over $10 million to $50 million, and the contract term is 1,032 calendar days. The solicitation identifies SDVOB, MBE, and WBE participation goals.
