The Metropolitan Transportation Authority's New York City Transit is soliciting an A+B contract for structural repairs on the elevated Broadway–7th Avenue Line. The work includes furnishing and installing barriers around column bases; removing column-base protection concrete; excavating to column baseplates; repairing columns in accordance with approved shop drawings; installing replacement column-base protection concrete; restoring sidewalks and streets affected by excavation; and repairing overhead steel in accordance with approved shop drawings. The estimated contract range is over $10 million to $50 million, with a 900-calendar-day contract term. The opportunity includes a 6% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business goal, 15% Minority-Owned Business goal, and 15% Women-Owned Business goal. A pre-bid virtual conference and an in-person site tour are scheduled, and bidders must register with the required vendor systems to participate and obtain documents.
