Description
Taylor School District is soliciting bids for the full tear-off and replacement of approximately 40,883 square feet of existing aggregate-surfaced built-up roofing at the Taylor Board of Education. The work includes reroofing preparation, removal and disposal of existing roofing and flashings, temporary roofing and drainage, deck repair or replacement, new cold-applied built-up asphalt roofing, insulation and cover board, base and perimeter flashings, sheet metal flashing and trim, roof drainage work, equipment removal and reinstallation as needed, and walkway installation. The contractor must provide shop drawings, product and qualification information, protection and reroofing activity plans, required warranties, inspections, and closeout documentation. The solicitation requires a qualified manufacturer-approved installer, a 20-year manufacturer roof-system warranty and a 2-year installer warranty. Bids must include the required bidder forms and certifications, a signed cover letter agreement, at least one reference letter from a public entity for substantially similar work, a subcontractor list, and applicable insurance and bonding documentation. A mandatory walkthrough is scheduled for October 29, 2026, although the solicitation separately states that attendance at the bid conference is not mandatory.
