Description
Rialto Unified School District is soliciting a lump-sum bid for a complete districtwide flooring replacement project at Kelley, Boyd, Preston, and Trapp Elementary Schools in Rialto and Kordyak Elementary School in Fontana. The work includes field verification; protection of facilities; removal and disposal of existing carpet, carpet tile, vinyl flooring, luxury vinyl tile, adhesives, rubber base, transitions, stair treads, and stair nosings; substrate preparation; moisture and pH testing; furnishing and installation of approved carpet tile, walk-off tile, luxury vinyl tile, rubber cove base, adhesives, transitions, stair tread systems, and related accessories; final cleaning; debris removal; and correction of deficiencies. The specified flooring systems include Mohawk Tuff Stuff II GT311 walk-off carpet tile, Taking Steps GT465 carpet tile, Hot and Heavy II C2113 LVT, and Elemental Edges CRW05 rubber cove base, with associated adhesives. Bidders must hold a California B or C15 contractor license, complete required prequalification, comply with prevailing-wage and California Department of Industrial Relations requirements, make documented efforts toward Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation, and provide a 10% bid bond. The successful contractor must provide separate payment and performance bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract price, maintain required insurance, perform employee background checks, and complete the work within 163 consecutive calendar days. Attendance at the entire mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is required for a responsive bid.
