Description
The California Department of Transportation is soliciting a price quote for the removal and legal disposal of 16 existing commercial industrial doors and operators, followed by furnishing and installing replacement doors, operators, accessories, components, and hardware. The work includes nine sectional garage doors and two rolling steel doors at Camp Angelus Maintenance Station, four sectional garage doors at Paradise Valley Maintenance Station, and one rolling steel door at Victorville Maintenance Station. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, travel, disposal, testing, cleanup, and incidentals for complete, secure, weather-tight installations. Replacement sectional doors must be insulated steel construction with specified gauges, thermal performance, wind-load resistance, commercial-grade hardware, safety devices, and industrial operators. Rolling steel doors must meet specified commercial and durability requirements. The contractor must hold current California C-61 and D-28 licenses, maintain Department of Industrial Relations registration, and qualify as a certified Small Business, Microbusiness, Small Business for public works, or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise. The total quote may not exceed $484,000; prevailing-wage requirements apply when the total bid exceeds $15,000. Subcontracting is not permitted.
