Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs requires a turnkey contractor to furnish and install a welded vinyl sheet flooring system with flash cove base in Building 200, Room E0-3, the fluoroscopy room at the Northport VA Medical Center. The scope includes site verification and floor preparation, subfloor repair as needed, flooring and all manufacturer-recommended materials, adhesives, welding strips, trim, cove components, equipment, labor, supervision, initial cleaning, debris removal, and cleaning instructions for VA staff. The specified flooring is Mannington BioSpec MD, with color to be determined, and all materials must be from the same manufacturer. The contractor must be an authorized supplier and installer and provide documentation that the products are designed for medical-facility use and meet the solicitation requirements. Work is to be performed as a complete working system in an operating healthcare facility, generally during weekday duty hours. The contractor must coordinate with the VA, comply with infection-control, safety, security, wage, and applicable code requirements, and provide required PPE and site protections. The contractor must have at least five years of specialty flooring experience, including welded flooring installations in a hospital radiology department, and must provide proof of required licensing and liability insurance. The performance period is seven calendar days, consisting of five working days, beginning after the notice to proceed. The procurement is a 100% SDVOSB set-aside, and the signed Buy American and limitations-on-subcontracting certifications must accompany the offer.
