Description

The City of Riverside is soliciting a contractor to remove approximately 20,420 square feet of existing turf and soil at Fire Stations 5, 11, and 13 and install water-efficient landscaping in accordance with the approved landscape plans. The scope includes permeable weed barrier across the project areas; three-inch-deep unstabilized gold-and-tan decomposed granite with vibratory plate compaction; City-supplied shredded-bark mulch installed at three inches; drought-tolerant plants, trees with three-stake support, natural-looking boulders, permeable irrigation modifications, and bioretention rain gardens at each station. The contractor must haul and spread excavated material at the City-designated dumpsite, perform cleanup and closeout, and follow applicable rebate requirements and best practices. The award is a lump-sum contract to the lowest-priced responsive bidder. A bidder's bond equal to at least 10% of the proposal is required before the submission deadline. The bond must use the City's form, be notarized, be signed by the contractor and corporate surety, and be issued by a California-admitted surety with an A:7 rating; scans are acceptable for online submission, with originals required when requested. The project completion deadline has been changed to February 15, 2027, and addenda must be acknowledged electronically. The contractor must hold a California C-27 Landscaping License, maintain active California Department of Industrial Relations registration, and provide the required company information, disclosure questionnaire, project references, cost breakdown, and bid security.
