Description
The City of Riverside Public Utilities Department is soliciting bids for rehabilitation of Riverside Canal at Electric Avenue. The work includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, tools, and incidentals; repairing and relining approximately 1,124 linear feet of canal with shotcrete; constructing access ramps; and removing or repairing deteriorated canal components. The project also includes construction of a potable waterline and appurtenances consisting of approximately 255 linear feet of 16-inch ductile iron pipe and approximately 30 linear feet of 30-inch steel casing installed by bore and jack. The contractor must hold a valid California Class A General Engineering Contractor or C-34 Pipeline Contractor license, provide a 10% bid bond or acceptable cashier's/certified check, and comply with prevailing-wage, public-works, self-performance, bonding, insurance, water-system certification, stormwater, and confined-space requirements. The contract is awarded on a lump-sum basis to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with an estimated bid value of $800,000 and a 150-calendar-day project duration after the Notice to Proceed.
