Description
The County of Riverside, on behalf of Riverside University Health Systems–Medical Center Environmental Services, seeks a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive healthcare laundry services for customer-owned and rental textiles. The scope includes daily pickup of soiled linens and scrub uniforms; laundering, disinfection, drying, finishing, inspection, minor repairs and rewash; clean packaging and labeling; and daily delivery. Items include patient-care linens, gowns, scrubs, lab coats, towels, blankets, reusable operating-room textiles, EVS microfiber textiles, mats, cart liners and related items. Lab-coat embroidery services are also identified in the opportunity description. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, facilities, utilities, equipment, vehicles, supplies, quality assurance and management necessary for performance. Processing must comply with healthcare infection-control standards and applicable regulatory guidance, with routine items returned within 24 hours and STAT or emergency service available within eight hours when requested and pre-approved. The contractor must support inventory and par-level management, loss and damage reconciliation, reporting and traceability, and provide one portable 48-foot storage trailer and approximately 20 linen carts. The solicitation states an average volume of approximately 45,000 pounds of linen products per week and a five-year performance period renewable in consecutive one-year increments.
