Description
The California Highway Patrol is soliciting bids for HVAC repair and installation services at its headquarters data center. The work includes compressor, filter drier, contactor, blower motor, and phase monitor replacements on specified computer room air-conditioning units; refrigerant recovery and recharging; pressure and vacuum testing; installation and configuration of a Pelican Wireless Energy Management and Smart Thermostat System or equivalent; and comprehensive electrical, airflow, thermal, refrigeration, controls, safety, and monitoring-system testing. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials, and related services; hold a valid California C-20 HVAC contractor license and applicable business license; comply with public-works, prevailing-wage, and Department of Industrial Relations registration requirements; and meet mandatory 5% Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation requirements. A payment bond equal to 100% of the agreement value is required. The resulting agreement is anticipated to run from November 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, subject to approvals and possible extension.
