Description
The Virginia Community College System is soliciting sealed bids for a design-bid-build construction project to replace the existing chilled water central plant at Tidewater Community College's Virginia Beach Campus. The work includes two water-cooled chillers, two cooling towers, two condenser-water pumps, four chilled-water pumps, hydronic accessories, and piping throughout the mechanical room and courtyard. Bids may be submitted electronically through eVA or by delivery to the Virginia Community College System. A Standard Commonwealth Bid Bond using form CO-10.2 and contract security are required for every bid, regardless of amount. The successful contractor must process pay applications and invoices through the owner's e-Builder project-management software. An optional pre-bid conference and site visit will be held at the campus on October 13, 2026.
