Description
The City of Riverdale's Public Works Department is soliciting lump-sum design-build proposals for comprehensive HVAC improvements at the Riverdale Centre. The selected contractor must review existing HVAC drawings, test and calculate airflow requirements, prepare preliminary and final cost estimates, design system improvements, and produce construction drawings and specifications. The scope includes replacement of the building's entire HVAC system, including ductwork, capacity, expansion, renovation, modification, equipment, and controls. The contractor must develop a phasing plan that keeps 50% to 75% of the HVAC system operational, accommodate scheduled events and weekend work, and reestablish controls for the physically separate City Hall HVAC system. Installation will begin after City approval of the plans. A business identification form and cost/time proposal form are included for submission; experience, key staff, similar projects, references, approach, schedule, and proposal amount are evaluated. Contractors must maintain required licenses, permits, insurance, and bonding capacity.
