Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a contractor to provide short-term transitional residential care and psychiatric step-down services for eligible Veterans discharged from inpatient mental health or residential treatment. Services include room and board, transportation from the VA facility, 24-hour facility staffing, medication administration by qualified personnel, residential counseling and support, care coordination, treatment-progress monitoring, discharge planning, daily rehabilitative or group activities, nutrition, records management, and emergency and incident response. The contractor must operate a compliant residential facility within 60 miles of the Rocky Mountain Regional Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado. The facility must meet applicable Colorado licensing, occupancy, fire, health, sanitation, accessibility, and safety requirements, and the contractor must provide qualified personnel, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and required patient privacy and information-security controls. The procurement is a firm-fixed-price contract with a one-year base period and four one-year option periods; pricing is requested by bed day of care and as estimated annual and total contract costs.
