Description

The City of Aurora is soliciting formal bids for construction of communications infrastructure along and adjacent to I-225. The work includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and services to install bored and trenched underground conduits, pull boxes, fiber-optic cable, termination panels, splice closures, location markers, tracer wire, and related grounding and bonding systems. The project includes approximately 3,580 linear feet of 12-fiber single-mode cable, 2,915 linear feet of special fiber cable, 5,415 linear feet of 48-strand single-mode cable, multiduct conduit, and fiber testing and splicing. The contractor must also install and integrate EtherWAN EX73934E-CIN field switches and IG5-00244SV-CIN aggregation switches at traffic signal cabinets and City facilities, provide associated patch cables, power and mounting hardware, perform network and fiber testing, and support system acceptance and a 30-day burn-in period. Related work includes traffic control, public information management, erosion and sediment controls, landscaping restoration, utility coordination, and construction surveying. The estimated project budget is $1,370,000 to $1,507,000, with completion required within 70 working days after the Notice to Proceed. The project is federally assisted and requires compliance with applicable CDOT, FHWA, Davis-Bacon, Buy America, and DBE requirements.
