Description
Denver Public Schools is establishing and maintaining a prequalified list of general contractors for future district-wide construction projects. Prequalification does not guarantee work; the list will be used to invite qualified contractors to future project solicitations, and prequalification status is expected to remain valid through January 2028. Applicants must demonstrate at least three years of general contractor experience with K–12 entities, comply with the District’s safety standards and background-check policies, and meet the District’s insurance requirements. Preferred qualifications include experience with design-build, construction manager/general contractor, and hard-bid/design-bid-build delivery methods, as well as drug-testing, sustainability, and diversity practices. The response must include the completed and signed Supplier Acknowledgement, completed and signed Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Certification, and completed Vendor Requirements Checklist. The proposal must be submitted as one combined PDF through the electronic bidding portal, using the specified file name. Certified SBE firms must self-perform at least 51% of the work on each project unless the District approves an exception; MWBE participation goals may be established for individual future projects.
