Description
Correctional Service Canada is seeking a licensed physician specializing in psychiatry to provide community mental health services to offenders in Ontario, primarily at the Ottawa Area Parole Office. The work includes assessing and treating offenders with serious mental illness; developing care plans and discharge summaries; supporting release planning; consulting with healthcare providers and institutional management; participating in meetings, training, quality-improvement activities, grievance and investigation processes, and psychiatric assessments for risk management. Telepsychiatry may also be requested. The proposed psychiatrist must hold an independent, unrestricted provincial license in good standing, provide professional-conduct documentation, demonstrate recent psychiatric-care experience, and meet the stated specialty-training and continuing-professional-development requirements. The proposal must address mandatory and rated technical criteria, including correctional psychiatry experience, relevant subspecialty training, clinical experience, quality initiatives, education or training, and research or publications. The solicitation is open only to eligible Canadian suppliers, requires security clearances, and will be awarded to the responsive bid with the highest technical score. The estimated contract value shown in the basis of payment is CAD 80,613 before applicable taxes, based on 159 hours at CAD 507 per hour.
