Description
The California Military Department is soliciting bids for annual inspection, testing, and certification of 33 backflow devices at March Air Reserve Base. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, permits, licenses, bonds, insurance, transportation, and related fees. Services must comply with applicable federal, state, and local requirements, including California regulations, and must be performed by personnel with recognized journeyman- or craftsman-level backflow-system qualifications. The contract term is three years, with service performed once per year during normal business hours. The contractor must provide service reports after each annual service, identify needed repairs, and submit repair proposals for authorization before performing repairs. The prime contractor must hold a current California C-36 Plumbing Contractor license, and the prime contractor must self-perform at least 20 percent of the work. Bids will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
