Description
San Bernardino County is soliciting proposals for self-insured DPPO and fully insured DHMO dental benefits for active employees, plus fully insured DPPO and DHMO benefits for retirees. The selected vendors must provide benefits substantially matching the County’s current plan designs, maintain adequate dental provider networks, process claims, administer enrollment and eligibility data, provide reporting, support employee communications and enrollment activities, and participate in benefit-plan modifications and cost-containment initiatives. Proposals must address network access, implementation, performance guarantees, pricing for alternative contract terms, provider access analysis, plan design, references, financial capability, insurance, and required certifications. The County anticipates either a five-year contract or a three-year contract with one additional two-year option.
