Description
The California Highway Patrol is soliciting bids for evidence impound towing, recovery, and secure storage services for its Morongo Basin Area Office. Services must be available as needed, 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and include responding to calls, recovering and transporting impounded vehicles, cleaning incident scenes, safeguarding vehicles and their contents, maintaining secure storage, permitting authorized inspections, and submitting monthly storage reports. The contractor must provide appropriate towing equipment, trained and licensed drivers, a qualifying storage facility, and a minimum of three years of verifiable for-hire towing experience. The contractor must perform at least 75% of the work and may subcontract no more than 25%. CHP intends to award one agreement to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest evaluated cost. The agreement is anticipated to run from April 1, 2027, through March 31, 2030, with a budgetary limit of $150,000. The DVBE participation requirement is waived, although eligible DVBE participation may receive an incentive.
