Description
San Bernardino County Department of Public Health is seeking one or more contractors to administer an interactive, web-based food handler training course and assessment, including audio and visual content, multilingual access, practice questions, retesting, secure payment processing, fraud prevention, certificate issuance and reprinting, certificate-status verification, customer and County technical support, and operational and fiscal reporting. The program must be available 24 hours per day, seven days per week, support English, Spanish, Mandarin, Korean, Vietnamese, Tagalog, and American Sign, and provide a course and assessment designed for completion in approximately two and one-half hours. The contractor must also provide food safety manager certification testing support, including training or supplying an examination proctor for in-person testing in San Bernardino County. The contractor will develop the program at no cost to the County, collect the County-established $22 food handler fee from customers, retain a proposed portion, and remit the balance to the County. Proposals must address the technical approach, work plan, project team, qualifications, financial condition, references, pricing, security, reporting, and required certifications and affidavits. The resulting contract may run for up to three years, from July 1, 2027, through June 30, 2030.
