Description
Jefferson County is seeking one or more contractors to provide vehicle evidence storage lot services for the Sheriff's Office. The contractor must operate a legally authorized facility meeting applicable zoning, land-use, permitting, and regulatory requirements, with paved or stabilized surfaces, a secure perimeter, controlled access, surveillance, lighting, and other specified facility and security measures. Indoor storage is not required. The County has not predetermined the number of contracts to be awarded. The scope is limited to vehicle evidence storage and does not include the separate towing-services procurement. Contractors must handle storage-related notices and statutory documentation after written authorization that an evidentiary hold has been lifted, and must identify associated costs in their proposals if those costs are not included in the flat monthly rate. A new minimum qualification requires registration with, or the ability and willingness to obtain registration or authorization from, the Colorado Department of Revenue, Division of Motor Vehicles, for abandoned-vehicle record searches, owner/lienholder notifications, and related processes. The initial contract term is five years with three one-year renewal options.
