Description
The U.S. Geological Survey seeks an established contractor for amplicon sequencing services under a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement. The contractor must offer AVITI sequencing services; Illumina sequencing is also contemplated. The scope includes library preparation, PCR amplification and barcoding, normalization, quantitation, pooling, quality control, sequencing of contractor- or user-prepared libraries, positive controls, data delivery, and technical consultation. Expected volumes are approximately 70–94 Illumina samples per shipment, up to 500 Illumina samples annually, and approximately 94–394 AVITI samples per shipment, up to 1,600 AVITI samples annually. The total BPA amount is not to exceed $250,000 across all five years, and individual calls will be firm-fixed-price orders. Amendment 0002 reopens the solicitation for full and open competition and changes the quotation deadline to October 23, 2026, at 2:30 PM Eastern Time. The amendment states that the period of performance will be updated at the time of award, while also listing the prior period as September 17, 2026, through September 16, 2031.
