Description
The State of New Jersey is soliciting quotes for emergency towing and roadside services during the annual winter season, October 1 through April 30. The scope covers 66 price lines across 33 designated towing sections, task-force assignments, and roving operations on specified interstate and state highway milepost areas. Bidders may quote one or multiple price lines and must provide all-inclusive hourly rates for medium-duty tow trucks serving vehicles up to 11,500 pounds GVWR and heavy-duty tow trucks serving vehicles over 11,500 pounds GVWR. Contractors must provide properly equipped, registered, insured, and operational tow trucks; qualified commercial drivers; 24-hour, seven-day availability during the winter season; deployment within two hours of call-out; standby, towing, recovery, vehicle relocation, incident reporting, and secure storage at safe-haven locations. The solicitation requires at least two years of public-roadway towing experience and submission of the state-supplied price sheet and required procurement forms through the state electronic procurement system. The base contract term is three years, with possible one-year extensions for up to two additional years.
