Description
The Town of Hilton Head Island is soliciting proposals from qualified towing and wrecker service companies to establish an on-call rotation list supporting Town departments, public safety functions, and Town-owned or Town-controlled vehicles and equipment. Services include standard, accident, heavy-duty, and recovery towing; roadside assistance; winching; lockouts; jump starts; tire changes; fuel delivery; vehicle storage; administrative impound and release services; and other Town-approved services. Proposers must describe their company and equipment, demonstrate applicable licensing and regulatory compliance, provide required insurance and licenses, submit references, and complete the required transmittal, proposal, pricing, affidavit, checklist, and reference materials. The service must respond to Town calls without subcontracting and be capable of arriving within 30 minutes under normal traffic conditions. Proposals will be evaluated on qualifications and compliance, fees, equipment and capacity, response time, references and past performance, and professionalism and customer service.
