Description
The City of South Burlington seeks qualified vendors for a rotating towing contractor list providing wrecker, tow, and ramp-truck services 24 hours per day, every day of the year. Vendors must respond to service calls, tow vehicles to body shops or other locations within the city when requested, handle abandoned and impounded vehicles, provide vehicle storage, and perform roadway debris cleanup after removing wrecked or damaged vehicles. Vendors must provide qualifying equipment, including at least one flatbed wrecker or appropriately equipped alternative, comply with Vermont wrecker-service laws, maintain required insurance, and provide business-hours and after-hours contact numbers. Subcontracting is prohibited. The solicitation includes an approved rate schedule for towing, service calls, storage, release fees, winching, dolly use, second-wrecker assistance, and debris cleanup. Qualified vendors may be added to the contractor list during the contract period.
