Description

The U.S. Geological Survey is accepting project submissions for the 3D National Topography Model Data Collaboration Announcement. Applicants may propose projects under either the 3D Elevation Program, which acquires high-resolution lidar and derived elevation products, or the 3D Hydrography Program, which acquires elevation-derived hydrography data. Projects will be acquired through the USGS Geospatial Products and Services Contract and must comply with applicable USGS specifications, geographic information system boundary requirements, data validation procedures, and public-domain data requirements. Eligible applicants include federal agencies, state and local governments, tribes, academic institutions, and private-sector entities. Applicants must provide project information, a defined project-area GIS file, estimated project costs, proposed cost-share funding, and validation forms for each proposed funding partner. Multiple awards are anticipated, subject to funding availability and evaluation of project location, cost share, funding maturity, and other program-specific criteria. Simultaneous acquisition of 3DEP and 3DHP is not accepted, and GPSC contractors and subcontractors are excluded from applying.
