Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is requesting a firm-fixed-price contract for preventative maintenance and related supplies for reverse osmosis/deionized-water systems, six water softeners, and hemodialysis and laboratory purification equipment. Work includes monthly inspections and maintenance, water-hardness testing, service reporting, filter, membrane, UV-lamp, carbon-tank, deionized-tank, and endotoxin-filter replacement or exchange, salt supply for water softeners, repairs and recommended upgrades, and chemical and ozone disinfection of water-distribution loops. The contractor must provide applicable parts, materials, labor, supervision, replacement components, and relevant licenses or certifications, and must comply with the latest ANSI/AAMI ST108 and VHA Directive 1061 requirements. Services are to be performed during normal business hours, with certain disinfection work conducted during non-operating hours. The solicitation requires a complete SF 1449 and price/cost schedule, an acknowledgment of amendments, the VAAR 852.219-75 subcontracting-compliance certification, and FAR 52.219-28 small-business rerepresentation form. Only VA-certified SDVOSBs with NAICS 221310 registered in SAM and the SBA certification database are eligible.
