Description
The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority seeks qualified manufacturers, suppliers, and installers to design, manufacture, deliver, install, test, and commission two replacement entrance and exit garage door systems at its maintenance facility. The systems must be suitable for heavy-duty transit use, support at least 300 operating cycles per day and 110,000 cycles annually, open and close within 15 seconds, integrate with existing 480-volt three-phase service and emergency backup power, and include safety sensors, obstruction detection and reversal, emergency manual operation, weather seals, windows, controls, and high-cycle components. The scope includes removal and disposal of the existing doors, field verification, coordination with RTA and supporting contractors, operator training, and searchable electronic manuals, drawings, schematics, warranty documentation, and spare-parts information. The initial submission is a qualifications and technical proposal without pricing. It must address the proposed system and technical approach, company experience, personnel, project schedule, DBE participation, and five similar-project references. Shortlisted proposers may later be invited to submit a firm-fixed-price proposal, including an optional existing-rail replacement alternate. The solicitation also requires various certifications, affidavits, a W-9, SAM.gov exclusion evidence, an Ohio certificate of good standing, and applicable federal compliance documents. The contract term is stated as twelve months, with no extension beyond twelve months.
