Description
The USDA Forest Service is soliciting a contractor to improve the Buckboard Marina water system in the Ashley National Forest. The project includes a new raw-water intake from Flaming Gorge Reservoir; approximately 3-inch and 2-inch HDPE raw, culinary, irrigation, and distribution waterlines; valves, meters, hydrants, manholes, drains, and tie-ins; five 6,000-gallon culinary storage tanks and one 6,000-gallon raw-water storage tank; a precast pump house; submersible and booster pumps; a future-dock waterline; roadway and asphalt restoration; and associated excavation, grading, erosion control, concrete, and site restoration. The contractor must also design and install electrical service, controls, SCADA communications, variable-frequency drives, and related pump-house systems, including deferred electrical design by a Wyoming-licensed professional engineer. The existing packaged water treatment plant must be rehabilitated and upgraded for continuous 40-GPM operation, including new chemical feed, filtration, disinfection, monitoring, automated controls, remote communications, data logging, testing, startup, and operator training. The solicitation requires a completed and signed SF 1442, completed Schedule of Items, technical approach, past-performance information, and a bid guarantee; performance and payment bonds are also required. Davis-Bacon wages apply, and the project magnitude is stated as $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.
