Description
This Sources Sought/RFI seeks qualified manufacturers capable of producing, testing, and delivering high-precision explosive shape charges for the F-16 Spin Chute Recovery System. The requirement concerns an FFF-equivalent or build-to-print Shaped Charge Assembly, P/N 52238-1, incorporating a lead-sheathed PBXN-5 linear shaped charge, dual detonators containing RDX and Lead Azide, an integrated four-pin electrical connector, and specified firing characteristics. The Government may provide a restricted Technical Data Package for build-to-print production, and respondents may identify an existing qualified equivalent. Respondents must describe their explosives and CAD/PAD manufacturing experience; licensing, zoning, and safety capabilities for handling sensitive energetics; build-to-print and testing capabilities, including radiographic examination, electrical verification, and lot acceptance testing; supply-chain security; and ITAR/DDTC compliance. Responses must use the provided Response Submittal Template, address the listed technical and manufacturing topics and up to three relevant past-performance examples from the last 10 years, remain within 10 single-sided pages including the cover page, and be submitted as an unclassified PDF.
