Description
The City of Raleigh, through a construction manager-at-risk joint venture, is prequalifying first-tier subcontractors for Bid Package 03—Concrete for the Raleigh Convention Center and Performing Arts Complex expansion and relocation. The project includes approximately 322,000 square feet of new construction connected to the existing convention center by sky bridges, with flex halls, a commercial kitchen, meeting rooms, and administrative/support spaces. Prequalification is required before a subcontractor may bid; this notice is not a request for bids. Applicants must complete the prequalification application and the Construction Manager’s prequalification materials through BuildingConnected, including information on organizational structure, classification and licensure, comparable experience, audited financial statements, litigation and claims, timeliness, bonding capacity, insurance and resources, safety history, and North Carolina contractor licensing. Applicants must achieve at least 70% of the available points. The projected project duration is 36 months, with an anticipated start in the fourth quarter of 2026.
