Description

The City of Visalia seeks a qualified contractor to remove and replace two existing rooftop HVAC systems at its Water Reclamation Facility: an approximately 8.5-ton rooftop heat pump serving the Headworks Building and an approximately 5-ton HVAC unit serving the MCC-6000 Building. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, permits, lifting and rigging, electrical and controls modifications, refrigerant work, testing and balancing, and incidental work required for complete, operational installations. Equivalent equipment from any manufacturer is acceptable if it meets or exceeds the specified capacity, airflow, electrical, performance, serviceability, and installation requirements. Both units must include Socko-Plastic Coating or an approved equivalent corrosion-resistant coating suitable for a wastewater-treatment environment. The bid must include proposed manufacturer and model information, completed product specifications for both units, manufacturer product data, a bid form, contractor license and DIR registration information, references for at least three similar HVAC replacement projects completed within the past three years, subcontractor information, ownership and Levine Act disclosures, required affidavits and statements, a signed bid, and a bid security deposit of at least 10 percent. The project is subject to California prevailing-wage, DIR registration, certified-payroll, apprenticeship, labor-compliance, insurance, and licensing requirements, including a valid C-20 license. The awarded contractor must provide 100-percent payment and performance bonds, complete the work within 60 calendar days after the written Notice to Proceed, provide a minimum one-year contractor warranty, and submit manufacturer warranties and closeout documentation.
