Description
The Town of Erie is seeking a contractor to manage administrative and operational services for Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Administrative duties include serving as the initial point of contact, handling plot sales and transfers, coordinating interments and disinterments, maintaining cemetery records and work orders, receiving and reporting payments, preparing sales and burial authorizations, addressing family concerns, coordinating with funeral homes and monument companies, and providing monthly and quarterly operational reports. Operational duties include on-site coordination and support for burial services, plot identification and verification, grave marking, grave excavation and protection, grave closing, soil removal, cleanup, monument coordination, and maintenance of burial records. The contractor must provide trained equipment operators and ground personnel, with a minimum of five years of experience operating the equipment used. Proposals must include a cover letter, firm information, project team and organizational chart, qualifications and similar project experience, three recent references, a detailed fee proposal, and a statement regarding the sample agreement and any exceptions. The proposal may not exceed 15 pages, excluding resumes, similar project summaries, and the fee proposal.
