Description
The City of Aurora is soliciting bids for a commercial-grade animal crematorium/incinerator for Aurora Animal Care and Control. The scope includes furnishing and delivering the new unit, removing and properly disposing of the existing crematorium, complete installation, utility and facility connections, testing, startup, training, and all labor, materials, and components needed for an operational system. The equipment must handle deceased companion animals and wildlife, including larger animals such as deer, and should be durable, reliable, energy efficient, serviceable, and suitable for frequent municipal use. Bidders must provide equipment specifications, dimensions, capacities, operating and utility requirements, performance data, warranty information, maintenance and service capabilities, replacement-parts availability, and any deviations from the specifications. The proposal must also include required certifications, references, subcontractor information, a compliant certificate of insurance, and local maintenance or authorized service-provider information. A bid guarantee of at least 10% of the total bid is required electronically with submission; the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds and applicable insurance after award. The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
