The Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration is conducting a Sources Sought notice for market research concerning grounds maintenance and associated cemetery services at Fort Richardson National Cemetery and Sitka National Cemetery in Alaska. Businesses may respond for either location or both. The anticipated scope may include interment and disinterment services; headstone and gravesite maintenance; turf, grass, tree, shrub, planting, and bed maintenance; drainage maintenance; trash and debris removal; pavement sweeping and cleaning; snow and ice removal; structure cleaning and light maintenance; and ceremony assistance. Fort Richardson may additionally require winter interment-area preparation, irrigation-system services, pond services, and artificial-turf maintenance. Responses must provide company and SAM information, business size and socioeconomic status, relevant capabilities and experience, anticipated subcontracting, and expected prime-contractor performance. Pricing and formal proposals are not requested.
