Description
The City of Lafayette Public Works Department is soliciting bids for approximately 3,400 linear feet of watermain replacement within and adjacent to North Fork Drive, Gold Hill Drive, Rowena Place, and Clipper Drive. The work includes furnishing and installing 8-inch PVC waterline, fittings, gate valves, fire hydrant assemblies, service reconnections, abandonment of existing waterlines and valves, waterline lowering, temporary water service, testing, disinfection, tracer-wire testing, and associated excavation, bedding, backfill, and compaction. The project also includes pavement and concrete restoration, sidewalk replacement, landscaping and irrigation restoration, traffic and pedestrian control, erosion control, utility coordination, public notification, cleanup, and required permits. Bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid conference and submit the completed Contractor's Bid form and Bid Bond form electronically through BidNet. The contract time is 60 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
