Description
The State of Idaho, through the Division of Public Works, is requesting qualifications for design professional services for the expansion of the Boise Cemetery. This project involves the preparation of additional sections for ground burial plots, the design and construction of new columbarium walls, and a new, larger committal shelter. A wider access road and a new berm for screening residential areas will also be constructed. The project aims to preserve existing trees and drainage areas, with the majority of the finished surface being turf. The estimated total project budget is a minimum of $8,492,267, with an estimated construction budget of $6,500,000. The project is funded by a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs State Veterans Cemetery Construction Grant, and Davis-Bacon wages will apply. The design professional will be responsible for schematic design, design development, construction documents, approvals, bidding, construction administration, and project closeout, uploading all documents to DPW's Projectmates system. An informational meeting and walkthrough will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. (MTN) at the Boise Veterans Cemetery Administration Office Building, located at 10100 N. Horseshoe Bend Rd., Boise, ID 83714.
