The City of Dalton is soliciting proposals for mowing and landscaping services at up to three city cemeteries. The contractor must furnish supervision, materials, labor, and equipment; perform recurring mowing, weed eating, edging, trimming, debris removal, shrub pruning, seasonal annual planting, mulch installation, and weed control in designated beds. Herbicide use is prohibited, and the contractor must protect monuments and other property. West Hill Cemetery requires a minimum staff of four workers and weekly service during the primary growing season, with reduced service later in the year; the other cemeteries require recurring weekly or twice-monthly service according to the specifications. The initial performance period is January 1 through December 31, 2027, with two additional one-year renewal options. Proposers must submit site-specific pricing, company information and qualifications, references for contracts exceeding $30,000, a completed bid form, and a signed and notarized E-Verify affidavit. Insurance requirements include workers' compensation and general liability coverage of at least $1,000,000, with auto liability coverage required when vehicles are used. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for October 8, 2026, and proposing contractors must perform site visits.
